Red Dot Instructor

Course Description: This RDS (Red Dot Sight) Instructor course is designed after years of culmination
of skill and technique development with an RDS to help expedite the learning curve for new instructors.
This training will provide the instructor with a comprehensive understanding of being able to apply the
RDS as well as concepts and principles for teaching students to best use their RDS optic.

Instruction Includes:
 Body Mechanics and why they are important
 Acquiring the dot upon presentation
 Draw- Duty holsters, off duty holsters & appendix (AIWB) if requested.
 Optic zeroing
 Optic mounting options
 Understanding parallax
 Target Transitions
 Low light applications
 Cover positions as it relates to RDS use
 Disadvantaged shooting positions
 Primary and support hand only shooting
 Optic malfunctions
 Understanding eye/hand coordination
 Recoil Management/Dot tracking

Course Cost: $450 per student

Equipment:
 RDS equipped handgun with 3 magazines
 Holster- SERPA holsters are strictly prohibited.
 Magazines pouches for 2 magazines
 Ear and eye protection
 1000 rounds of ammunition

Red Dot Pistol Instructor: $475 Fee ($425 + $50 range fee)
